All About Our Preschool
Pottsville Community Preschool is a community based preschool catering to children aged 3-5 years. We are governed by a parent committee which families and interested community members have the opportunity to be a part of.
We rely heavily on the active involvement of families within the preschool. There are many informal and formal opportunities for families to be involved at Pottsville Community Preschool. These are available in our enrolment forms; in newsletters; and through our class messenger app.
We currently offer either a three-day program or a two-day program for four and five year olds. Three year olds are offered a one-day program. We follow the current Priority of Access Guidelines as determined by the NSW State Government.
We currently receive funding from the NSW State Government.
We acknowledge and recognise current research which promotes children's learning through play. Our program actively supports this theory, within an indoor-outdoor program that builds upon children's interests whilst providing a happy, stimulating and safe place for the children and families.
We have a large range of quality equipment and books for children to access during play. There is plenty of room for children to run, and explore in our natural outdoor area, which features gardens, an extra large sandpit, watercourse and mud patch.
We have a dedicated and experienced group of educators at Pottsville Pre-school. We have developed a culture of collaoration and enquiry where our educators are engaged with critical thinking and further education.
